Delvin's father tells his son that he is going to head to Diamond Bed City to set up another Delvin horse farm. Murphy meets a new friend. A native of Mikas, he is one with the earth and the spirit world. After a long and enjoyable venison stew feast at the Wyrmwood Inn, they invite the new traveler "Koa" into the group. It seems that his "spirit guide" might very well be the spirit of Panarus. Koa tells Delvin that there is a message for him inside of Panarus' flute. The message asks Delvin to set up a university of music here in Hill Town. He has left his life's work (10,000 flutes) in warehouse here. Delvin makes arrangements to get his deceased friends dream a reality. (Panarus died in Hell and cannot be brought back by magical means. He remains "on Ice" in the cathedral of Darkenday in Hill Town until the group can travel back to hell to free is soul).
The group takes the war cart back out on the trail. They are headed to Evonmar to brief the high clerics of their quest. Two days on the road, Koa asks the group to stop as he feels there is an evil spirit close by that must be vanquished. They find the rubble of a once great citadel. They are attached by (3) undead (animated armor/ doom guards). There is a sinister undead who's face seems to shift that only Sura glimpsed for a moment during combat, but slipped into the cavern below.
The group kills the last of the doom guards and rest on the surface before preparing to check the chambers below the crumbled tower and look for the face shifter.
