The group checks out the cavern. At the far end is a massive door. After a few attempts, Jin is finally able to pick the lock. The door opens and Jin remarks that this is nicest most sophisticated lock he has ever seen. He takes note that he should grab it on his way out of here. Beyond the door is a fireman's pole leading down into a dark deep pit. They slide down and find themselves in a cramped cavern. As they head down the corridor, Sura falls down a pit trap hidden in the hallway and is slightly wounded. They come to a pile of gold, silver, & platinum and a peculiar stacked pile of coins which seems to defy gravity.
They kill the Bugbears and move onto the next room where they fight three more. There are coins and treasure scattered throughout. The group gathers up everything and rests in the room after healing their wounds.
As we explore after waking from a tough night and dank morning of eating hard tact, we begin to explore further unto the darkness. Sura walked point and fell into a trap with spears. After we helped her climb out, I set up a rope to help the party jump across the pit, only to find a new "coin trap" awaiting us. Jin and I made it through the coin trap, buy the smell of my fellowship skin burns from the coin trap is seared into my nostrils. To make things worse, that light dragon was blowing light vapors at us. So, forward we must go. The door we found was tricky and seemed locked and guarded by some ghostly hands. Voryn seemed to entice the hands to travel with him and I hope he is not cursed, but it seems to protect him. After we opened the hidden door, Bugbears everywhere. The combat was invigorating and seeing the war mage drop hell onto the enemy made me glad he is my friend! We have holed up into a secured room after rending 5 Bugbears, but I'm betting there will be more. I hope this treasure was worth all the fleas and horrible dragon breath we had to endure. I miss my horses and the open hills, and all this damp underdark has me longing for the open air again. Soon I hope. May Darkendae guide us back to safety.
