Not too far from arriving in Diamond Bed City, the group rests for the evening. While having dinner around the fire, a grotesque looking creature stumbles into camp and asks for medical aid.
Murphy cures his ailments with numerous spells. The creature asked for help, saying that some dark creature is killing his village and they need help. Murphy changes to a bird to investigate. He sees the village in flames and the remaining population fleeing on the backs of these large Sloth like looking creatures.
Murphy lands on the back of one and speaks with the riders. They describe a dark creature with intense powers. Murphy is actually harmed through a vision. He reports back to the group that this creature might be too powerful for them to confront.
The group discusses and decides to decline helping them. On the way into the city they alert the town guard to assist the fleeing creatures and where to find them. Best they could do.
